Comforts

This today will be a quick one I promise :)

I wanted to share a picture with you. You know all those cold winter nights or days when go out and it's toooo cold and you don't know what to wear, but low and behold there is your (not necessarily most attractive but warm and comfy coat) ???

Yeah!! Mine of that. The reason I'm sharing this picture is purely because it was a "selfie" gone wrong. And makes me laugh. But it's cold so I don't mind

... And I was wearing the coat! Yayyy

The hood is waaay too big and can barely see but there you go.. Mid week odd one.

I hope you've had a lovely day and catch you soon.

Sally Hansen No Chip Top Coat

I'm sure I say this every time I blog but I'm aware I'm a wishy washy blogger but I've got ideas up my sleeve for the next few posts.. So hopefully a bit more regular.

Right, I've heard from friends and read on reviews on other blogs which gave me a mixed review on Sally Hansen products. I felt the only way to gain a true idea was to try for myself.

Nb: this does not stand for all products just this one.

I have never tried Sally Hansen products before but whilst shopping on my lunch break (as you do) this was on offer and I couldn't resist trying it, because, no chip!!

I have been using it for a few weeks now so have a good idea of what it is like.

The consistency is lovely it's thick- but in good way also it dries on my nails super quick!! Which is amazing as I'm rather impatient and hate the whole drying process.

However, as for the No Chip claim, I don't feel it lives up to this rather well. I don't know if it's where I spend 9 hours a day on a computer typing of it's not a great product but I find my nails chip rather badly, I mean peeling off in sheets!

This is not what I expected from this product so was a little disappointed. Boy gonna lie.

But like I said it does dry extremely quickly and does make my nails nice and shiny. So for those benefits I would buy again. As for No Chip I wouldn't buy for this as I don't feel it lives up to this. A little disappointed.

As I mentioned this is the first Sally Hansen product I have used so others from the range may be better quality, and it could be my profession? I'm not sure but not overly amazed by it.

Thanks for reading.

Jewellery shop

Hello there everyone!

I apologise in my lack of interesting posts lately but I have been on holiday!! Yay.Unfortunately  I'm back and have no tan due to it being too hot to do anything but I had an extremely relaxing time.

I vacationed in Icemeler in Turkey.  If any of you have been there you will know about the shops and street markets which I love and can't control myself in' which resulted in this arm full of bracelets...

I did not intend to get all bracelets-just kind of happened.

These all came from street markets or little shops. My two favourite pieces are the snake bracelet which uncoils and wraps around your wrist. This cost me about £10. And I know it might not be "in" with fashion at the moment but I don't like fashion and do fashion so that's me. And this is the snake bracelet.

Awww look at those eyes!!

Next is my cat bracelet which looks like it's jumping around my wrist. Now I specifically remember buying this as it was the first stall in the market and my better half said to me (more moaned) why do you jump right in and buy something there's loads of other stalls. But it turns out it was the only stall with this. I doubt it's real it looks like rose gold  with little sparky gems to make up little fellas body..

I can't wait to get these on!

Now I know this is probably another pointless post but I hope you enjoyed.

Ps sorry for the shoddy pics xx

So how has last few week or so been?

Holiday time is hereee

Hello everyone. I know I've been quiet for a while but you may or may not know that I blog from my phone and have had a few issues with uploading a recent post (which I will continue to try and upload - Instagram)

Now I'm off on holiday on Friday to Icemeler in turkey for two weeks. Don't get me started on packing- definitely too many clothes and products. And before I go I wanted to share with you a few products I want to buy at duty free and also some products which are some of my favourites at the moment.

So I'll start with my current favourites.

Please excuse my face I woke up stupidly early on my day off.

This is a look which I don't often use. Hair out my face I hate because I feel I have a large forehead but I didn't feel like doing anything totally amazing today. Minimal eye make-up really isn't me and I've got no foundation on just bb cream but this is becoming something I seem to be favouring more and more. And I like a matte face and I have no face powder on too.

So this is the contense of my face.

On my face I have :
Avon Anew Vitale Beaty balm - I can't remember the price of this or if it comes with a shade as my mum is an Avon lady and I like to get first dibs on products. This is nice and matte a little goes a long way. SPF 20 which is amazing for this weather which we've been having. I use this on a daily basis and still have over half a tube left!
Avon limited edition supershock mascara in black and glimmer stick brow defined in dark brown - mascara is a staple of mine and I will always be the first to try a new mascara this had such a lovely big brush so you can really get into the bottom of your lashes to get that length and definition of them. Brow definer is something I always keep as I have tendencies to pluck my eyebrows and end up with none and currently they're rather thin again So I keep some just to fill them out a bit. This is retractable so no sharpening YAY!! It's dark brown yes, it's a bit dark for me but the next shade is a bit too light and pointless for me.
Cillection 2000 extreme 24 hour felt tip liner - firm felt tip so you can get precision lining and extremely long lasting. I use this too on a daily basis and never seem to buy that often.
Bourjous blusher - it's so old the shade has rubbed off the pot. Pink a girly colour. It smells lovely however I find you need to be light handed otherwise you look like you've came out of the cold. Also I find a small brush like a kaboki brush is best to put it on as I can never get it on a normal brush! Maybe it's just me though.
Finally
Bobbi Brown corrector in light to medium bisque - I suffer with dark circles and this makes then disappear (or at least reduce) so much. If I'm having a  bad day got woke up early or just want to look lovely ill reach for this always over my standard concealer. However I'm now running out and need to purchase more of it :( boohoo !!

So that's my face today. Have any of you tried any of these products and what do you think?

Now as I'm going away on Friday I want to get some duty free products. I intend to get MAC face and body foundation. I've read mixed reviews about this but I think I'll try for myself. apparently its not great for oily skin but other reviews have said  it is, only one way to find out. And a lippie probably MAC modesty?

What have all of you tried lately and have you got any products you'd recommend for me to try.

Speak soon.

Soap Free Cleansing Bar

Seba-Med

Ok so I tried this a few years back. However back then I didn't have such thing as a skin care routine as such. Obviously I washed my face but not as regular as I do now- which is religiously ever morning and night.

I normally go for creams or washes not a soap bar and generally fruity smells or scrubs; you know the kind that's advertised all the time on television and In magazines.

So about a week ago I was in my local chemist and saw this on the shelf and it was something I tried when I was younger but stopped using.

It has no soap in and ideal for sensitive normal to oily skin. My skin I find gets really oily hence why I wash it twice a day and because of this I prefer matte foundations/skin to luminous. Because it reminds me of my bad skin :'( but is something I want to try.

Back the the bar. It's green on colour and the smell, it's not bad but it's not the most amazing thing ever. It smells natural is the only way to describe it. It's not fruity or overly pleasant but it's not bad. (Sorry bad description) I rub it between my hands and it lathers well, then just wash my face and rinse with cold water

After my face feels smooth and fresh which personally I often find difficult to find in scrubs or creams. And that feeling lasts a long time too.

For £2.47- it doesn't break the bank and I find this a lovely product my new favourite.

It's well worth a try.

Nail polish #2

Okay now, so I don't know who or how many people read my blog but you may have seen my post earlier about my current nail polish colour.

There is the picture I should have taken earlier, however I did not have the colour on me.

In all honestly. The picture does not do it justice

When I purchased China Glaze 5th Avenue I also got China Glaze Light As Air.

Light as air is a very cute milky off white lilac. This colour I think will be one of those colours which you can carry from season to season. It reminds me of a very winters colour just like snow but so light and cute which is perfect for all those summery bright outfits!

I am yet to try Light As Air, but I have no doubt I won't be disappointed. At the weekend, when I no doubt get bored/feel the need to change my nail polish I will write another extension post for Light AsAir  for you and make your own opinions.

5th Avenue is a dark dusky pink, not what I'd usually select as my choice of colour however it's beautiful and very natural and feminine.

I have no doubt it could be worn in an outfit more "tough" (e.g. Leathers, biker wear, masculine) to add that feminine touch.

Please see "Nail Polish" for my full post on 5th Avenue.
